As Yourself

Love your neighbor as yourself. This Bible verse has become one of the most commonly used adages in our vernacular. I have always been one who is driven to love others, so I struggle with the desire to love others, often more than I love myself. This has proven to be a constant issue in my relationships, both friendships and more intensely romantic relationships.  The purpose of this journey is for me to focus more on my individualism, my “as yourself.”

I have been in a pattern of loving others more than myself since I can remember.  I wanted to be loved so bad
